February Highlights

Day In The Life Of A Middle Schooler Event took place on February 5th.

8th grade students visited HHS to learn about CTE programs that are offered to prepare for course selection options.

We are happy to inform you that 39 students applied for the Early College High School (ECHS) program. The writing prompt session of the application process took place on February 14.

School Supply Lists

All Hempstead ISD students in Grades 6-12 are required to use CLEAR or MESH BACKPACKS. Bags that do not meet this requirement will not be allowed.

Water Bottles

Hempstead Middle School will allow students to have water in the classrooms. The container must be clear and have a closeable lid like a screw-on lid or a push top.

Cell Phones

Cell phones should be turned OFF and put away prior to the school day beginning. Students may be allowed to use their cell phones during breakfast and lunch.

1st Offense:

Device taken up, parent contact, device returned to student at the end of the day.

2nd Offense:

Device taken up, parent contact, $15 fee paid before issued back to parent.

3rd+ Offense:

Device taken up, parent contact, $15 fee paid before issue back to parent.
